Advocacy & Community Support

LEAP Pediatric Physical Therapy is a comprehensive center that goes beyond traditional therapy services. With a dedicated team of physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, community rehabilitation specialists, and IEP advocates, their mission extends to community support and outreach.

Recognizing the importance of connecting families to essential community resources, LEAP works to ensure that families have access to the medical equipment and services they need by researching, recommending, and supporting access to community resources to enhance the well-being of their clients.

LEAP advocates for their children and families, raising awareness and acting on their behalf. They assist their clients and families in adapting to changes and difficulties in their lives and better navigating the challenges they face.

If necessary, the clinic ensures that the social-emotional needs of their clients and their families are met by actively facilitating connections with a diverse team of multidisciplinary professionals. By facilitating these connections, LEAP promotes holistic healing by addressing the emotional well-being alongside the physical challenges.

In addition, LEAP Therapy takes a proactive role in advocating for families whose children are receiving services in schools. By providing comprehensive assistance and education on the intricacies of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, the clinic empowers families to effectively advocate for their child's specific needs and essential services. This support ensures that families are equipped with the knowledge and resources necessary to actively engage in their child's educational journey and secure the appropriate support for their development.

In line with their commitment to community therapy, the clinic also brings clients and families together, fostering connections and providing a space for shared experiences, support, and healing.
